A Film on Late Shree Sudheer Phadke

25th July 2018 marks the beginning of birth centenary of Late Shree Sudheer Phadke.

Reverb Productions is very proud to be producing a biopic on the life of Shree Sudheer Phadke.  This film will be released sometime in 2019.  Shreedhar Phadke, the son of Shree Sudheer Phadke has been associated with the project since its very inception.

Kiran Yadnyopavit, known for his work on films like Natasamrat, Taryanche Bet, Salam etc has graciously accepted to write the story, screenplay and dialogs for this film,

Prakash Kunte known for his work on Coffee Ani Barech Kahi, Hampi, Cycle and & Jara Hat Ke has accepted the challenge of directing this film.

Abhijit Kolhatkar, Founder and Director at Reverb Productions and Golden Reverb Productions said that he grew up listening to melodious songs by Sudheer Phadke on the Radio. He wants to introduce this great singer-composer to the next generation through the medium they relate to best - in the form of movie.  Inspired and encouraged by close family friends, research on the project began almost two years ago in 2016.

Shilpa Godbole, creative head at Reverb Productions has been very actively involved with the project since the very beginning.  Her research included reading all available published material and meeting several people who have worked with Babuji.   A fine artist by education, she has written and directed several music videos and short films published on Reverb Productions YouTube channels.

Abhay Shevade, Founder and Director at Golden Tree Entertainment and Golden Reverb Productions is a veteran film maker with films like Bioscope, Kon Ahe Re Tikde.and associated with the project since its inception.

The film is being produced under the banner of Golden Reverb Productions Pvt. Ltd, which is a joint venture between Reverb Productions and Golden Tree Entertainment.

Sudhir Phadke (Babuji) born 25th July 1919 achieved an iconic status in the Marathi Music Industry as singer-composer.  He literally ruled the Light Music for over five decades.

He started his career with HMV in 1941 and later joined Prabhat Film Company in 1946 as music director giving music to several Marathi and Hindi films.

Geet Ramayan was one of the most popular compositions, written by G.D. Madgulkar.  The series was aired between 1954-1955.   Swaye Shri Ram Prabhu aikati , Paradhin Aahe Jagati, Ram janmala ga sakhi, Swayamvar Zale Site che are some of the very popular songs from the series.

Sudhir Phadke was connected with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for over sixty years.  He was also actively involved in the Independent Goa movement.  He was the main inspiration behind the Indian Heritage Foundation in US.
